The perception of cryptocurrencies has worsened compared to last year. This year, only 17% of Austrians saw the future of the payment industry in cryptocurrencies, while last year they gained 20%. 14% currently consider cryptocurrencies a worthy form of investment, compared to 17% last year.
5% of the residents of Austria who took part in the survey confirmed that they are ready to consider the possibility of receiving salaries with cryptocurrency.
According to the organizers of the study, the Austrians are better aware of digital assets than others but prefer to shun risks and volatility.
Among representatives of other countries, with the exception of Turkey, Poland and Romania, there was also a decrease in the share of those who treat cryptocurrencies positively. In Poland and Romania, the share of cryptocurrency supporters was 43% and 44%, respectively, in Turkey — 62%. In addition, 36% of respondents from Turkey are ready to receive salaries in Bitcoin.
