Altcoin News: SEC Head of ICO Investigations Will Leave Office in August

The head of the cyber division of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Robert Cohen, will leave SEC after 15 years of service.
As reported by the SEC on Monday, Cohen worked in the department for 15 years and previously served as co-director of the market fraud countering unit. At the current position, Cohen was responsible for identifying violations in the field of cryptocurrency and initial coin offerings (ICO).
Cohen led several investigations, including the alleged unregistered sale of securities by Kik Interactive Inc., as well as the case of professional boxer Floyd Mayweather and music producer DJ Khaled, who did not disclose information about the compensation received for promoting cryptocurrency projects.
In addition, Cohen led the case of the recognized fraudulent ICO Centra Tech, the EtherDelta Exchange, which found itself servicing unlicensed securities trading, ICO Airfox and Paragon Coin, among others.
