Electroneum, an Initiative that enabled Cryptocurrency to reach the masses, and Project Child, that is Empowering People with Education, Join Hands

30 October 2019 might be an important date on the calendar. But, on this day, Electroneum made history by announcing its tie-up with Project Child.

Electroneum is a mobile-based cryptocurrency that entered the market in the third quarter of 2017. Anyone, from any part of the world with a smartphone and a mobile app can process transactions with ICOs issued by Electroneum. Plus, with the ventures they are stepping into, holders of ETN are certainly in for a win. And, association with Project Child is one of those ventures, which will be a rewarding experience for the ones dealing in crypto coins.

Project Child is the third Non-Governmental Organization in the world to have revealed its status publically as one of the trusted miners of the ETN blockchain. Project Child is following the footsteps of its predecessors, Ubuntu Pathways and WONDER Foundation.

The aim of this education-oriented NGO, based in Indonesia is to open new avenues of employment and innovation opportunities for young minds by providing them access to alternative education. Such an educational environment will give them important insights into how they can create a secure living environment in a land that is quite prone to natural disasters.

ETN, as declared in their official announcement of the funding, said:

“We are proud to announce that Project Child Indonesia is the first NGO in Indonesia to be funded with cryptocurrency from Electroneum.”

Expressing his concern for the poor and marginalized, Richard Ells, CEO of ETN Ltd., also said that —

“We have focused on creating solutions for problems that exist in developing countries, where the unbanked or financially excluded are trapped in a cycle of poverty.”

With the help of cryptocurrency, they are giving a helping hand to the noble souls who want to do good for the future of the less privileged.

The three main domains on which the priorities of Project Child are focused have always been teaching students how they can preserve their natural habitat and deal with the naturally occurring disasters; creating a comprehensive learning experience, and volunteer engagement.

With the funding that they have received from ETN, the authorities at Project Child have been able to attract more volunteerism from the Indonesian youth. Now, they are directing the efforts of these volunteers towards bringing about a societal revival. For this, their primary focus is clean drinking water and making alternative learning sources available to students.

The vicious cycle of poverty never seems to leave the Indonesian citizens because they are often hit by bouts of dangerous natural calamities like cyclones, tsunamis, earthquakes, and floods. Therefore, comprehensive learning sources will help children learn how the information systems and proper disaster management can help them preserve their community in worse situations.

The funding of Project Child will not only contribute to the development of children through better educational opportunities but will also prove to be a major move for expanding the reach of cryptocurrency in lands, as remote as Indonesia.
