The smartphone manufacturer HTC implements support for the Binance Chain blockchain in a special version of its EXODUS 1 device. Thanks to this, the smartphone will be able to interact with the non-custodian Binance DEX exchange and tokens in the blockchain.

To achieve this goal, EXODUS 1 Binance Edition integrates the Binance Chain into its own Zion Vault wallet.

“We are partnering with the biggest and most liquid crypto exchange along with the trust minimized principle of empowering users to own their own keys and run their own full bitcoin node,” said HTC Decentralization Chief Officer Phil Chen.

Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, said the smartphones “are the most natural devices” for a hardware wallet. “Crypto, on the other hand, will make every smartphone both a POS terminal and a payment device, cutting out most other middlemen,” he added. — “The implications are profound and far-reaching. The most innovative smartphone makers are racing to adopt crypto. We are delighted to support and work with HTC EXODUS to make sure its users can access the Binance chain and DEX to help people access crypto and exchange anywhere.”

EXODUS was launched at the end of last year, and EXODUS 1 became its a more budget version. Among other things, the device is capable of supporting a full node. To do this, the user, however, will have to significantly expand the amount of initially available storage space.
