Hello everybody. My name is Mickey Maler, and I am a crypto/blockchain related blogger. Since we are all allocated to the starting line of the year 2019, I want to invite you for a little look back at a few successful projects that have been founded from 2016–2018, and then I would love to tell you about one ripper all-in-one full-scale service provider from Australia with whom I was collaborating last few months and was watching them as they turn from zero into a decent hero company. As a show-closer for this article, I would like to invite you for my own written Blockchain series dedicated to all blockchain newcomers who decided to join this crypto journey in recent months.

Ontology, Quant Network, Hoard, Seal Network, and of course NEO!
  • Latitude Blockchain Services
  • Hoard
  • Seal Network
  • Quant Network
  • Ontology Network (and a dash of NEO!)

Latitude (Blockchain) Services

WebBlogTelegram

So let’s bring some action from the back section. I will start with that service provider from Australia since I am pleasantly pleased with the progress this company has made — most notably, the transformation they underwent in a matter of months. In 2018, Rick and Corey Billington associated by longtime friend, Bradley Townsend, got an idea to create a brand new company focus of which were set towards relieving the stress out of blockchain startups and soothing the pain that bear market could have caused.
It was a fantastic experience to watch the passion of those guys for their craft which they have executed with true professionalism.
They turned from a bunch of guys with dreams into the true blue real dealmakers. It was an excellent experience for me to work with Latitude Blockchain service and need to say, the core members of this company became great friends of mine. Since they were always there for me when I was in need for additional information, help, opinion or to get my bounty contracts done.
The first service they decided to provide was an administration in various Telegram communities, but that was just the start.
Here you can take a look of complete service portfolio this company can deliver just a few months after their initial take off:

- Translations (15+ Languages)
- Venture Capital Introductions and Vetting
- Social Media Management
- Community Management
- Exchange Listings and Market Makers
- Explainer Video Creation
- Written Reviews & Influencer Interviews/Reviews
- Whitepaper Writing/Graphics, Custom Web Designs, Strategic Introductions
- Global PR & Marketing, Digital Marketing
- Configurable ICO Management Dashboard
- Advisory, Smart Contract Creation, KYC System with Geofencing, Airdrop/Bounty Management, Custom Welcome/Anti-Spam Bots
Branding Overhaul

I want to give written applause to those guys and wish them the best for upcoming years and also congratulate them for their partnership with NEM. Joining their Ecosystem labeling them as preferred vendors for all projects built on NEM platform from now on.

List of Cooperations: Seal Network, IceBreaker, Celsius, Hoard,
Kronn (Kron Telegram ), Blockbid, AgriChain (ex Blockgrain), Hypernet, CastleCoin, Emanate,
and Nest.

And now let's move forward to promised crypto projects.
The first of four with tremendous potential, Hoard.

Hoard

Hoard is a strong racing car eating high octane ideas piloted by Jason Davis who showed to the world that even with limited resources and ICO drowned into a savage of the bear market, you can still reach your goals and transform your visions into reality.
CTO at Hoard, Dan Lipert, is a real deal coder with US government IT experience and also a starting Youtuber. On his channel, you can learn a lot about blockchain tech and programming by watching his content and reading his tips. You can always check and support him right here.
The purpose of this project is to create a space where your crypto assets are treated as money. There is plenty of banking and customer support experiences to find in the Hoard team which spend one year of planning how to develop and design the most friendly to use and best-looking wallet that can soothe the pain points people face.
Hoard is a universal open source mobile wallet on iOS and Android, soon to be on a desktop as well. They enable peer-to-peer transactions using fiat and cryptocurrency at the same time.

Right now, they support Bitcoin, Ethereum, Raven blockchains, and their underlying assets. Their next effort will be focused on the building of the support for crypto behemoths like EOS, NEO, Stellar and their blockchains.
The backbone of this project will be Smaug protocol, a layer-2 technology
for all blockchains which makes assets and blockchains interoperable while increasing privacy and speed. Smaug will use QR scan technology that will be a heaven for merchant payments and which will teleport you to space where no cards or Visa is needed. Just you, your smart device, your crypto and you thrill for action.
It’s merely One Wallet, one world.

If you didn’t hear about this project in 2018 yet, you definitely will in 2019 since they are one of the most promising crypto related and blockchain based project I have ever seen.

This is a wild card for me.

Next great player who has been born in 2018 (late 2017) and is set up for great things in 2019/2020 is Seal Network.

Seal Network

Web pageWhite PaperQ1 ReportTelegram

Seal is an award-winning blockchain company which provides a global
anti-counterfeiting solution and product services platform. Seal Network
is an authenticity platform and infrastructure that will empower any person to authenticate if a product is real or not. Usually, you would assume that items that are store bought are original, unfortunately, this isn’t always the case.
Seal intention is to have products manufactured with an embedded Seal NFC chip developed by NXP company. This chip is linked to the information on Seal network, a completely secure platform, which leverages a decentralized blockchain database. Consumers can quickly scan the chip with Seal app to verify its authenticity and get product information. The dynamic NFC chip provides a unique code for every interaction. This makes it impossible to duplicate. With Seal app, consumers can also claim ownership of a product.
Seal got face time with the top policymakers of the European Commission,
the Top European Customs Officials and some other interesting players like:

- The first logistics company in the world (DHL)
- The first e-commerce platform in the world ( Amazon, Alibaba, eBay)
- The first NFC (chip technology)company in the world (NXP)
- And famous marketing service provider TBWA (You can know them because of their Think different campaign; Apple)

In May of 2018, Seal Network has been selected as a contestant in European Commission’s Blockathon, collaborates with Deloitte to develop an
anti-counterfeiting platform for Europe where they have won the first place for excellence in Coding and managed to get decent results in the rest of this competition.

The last two projects of my setup are Quant and Ontology.

Quant Network
WebWhitePaperTelegramGitHub

This and the following project (ONT) has nothing to do with Latitude Blockchain service, but I had been energized by their token prize evaluation so much in these days of a savage bear market that considered to add them here and tell you something about them anyway.
I am very proud of having this coin in my portfolio since it reminds me of good old days in mid-2017. And yes, the technology they develop is pretty unique.

Imagine the Quant Network as an open-source blockchain glue (basically it’s the only ANY: ANY end to end interoperability) with their code publicly accessible at GitHub (open-source) that fits all other blockchains (except the patented parts of the Overledger like Trusttag which is based around standard technologies and the way it’s applied and also the Messaging and Ordering and Filtering Layer of the Overledger OS - by a qnt community member Seq), enables them to communicate with each other. They develop unique blockchain contribution called Multi-chain smart contracts. The founder of this project is also an inventor and founder of the ISO TC307 -the standard for Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies. This ISO standard has been adapted and further developed by 52 countries, and it’s very likely that Overledger will be the only suitable technology for this word wide spreading standard.
Their main product is called Overledger and its world’s first blockchain operation system (OS). This OS can connect all blockchains and also connect off-chain networks with on-chain ones and create internet-scale multi-chain applications otherwise known as mApps. You can go a log into their website and obtain an API (a key) to test it on your own.
Their secondary flagship is called GoVerify. GoVerify allows people to verify and check that any email, SMS, letter or phone call received is legitimate and actually from the company they are sent from.
The proprietary technology that powers GoVerify is a combination of the tried and tested methods in cybersecurity combined with the power of blockchain technology (Official website).
You can also take a look at their CEO which has a quite a challenging CV,
to be honest.
All in all, it’s a really great idea with solid CEO and very strong unofficial telegram group. Future months can show us how this project will compete with its possible competitors like LINK and AION but you should not miss
the boat.

Ontology Network

WebWhitePaperTelegram

Ontology is a new high-performance public blockchain project & a distributed trust collaboration platform. They provide new high-performance public blockchains that include a series of complete distributed ledgers and smart contract systems. Ontology blockchain framework supports public blockchain systems and can customize different public blockchains for different applications. Ontology supports collaboration amongst chain networks with its various protocol groups.
In late December of 2017 when I had read a little bit more about it, I knew on the spot this will be another fantastic project which became a matter of the heart for me after they signed a cooperation contract with NEO Foundation about future collaboration on May 14th, 2018.
Ontology will continually provide common modules on the underlying infrastructure for different kinds of distributed scenarios, such as those for
the distributed digital identity framework, distributed data exchange protocol, and so on. Based on specific scenario requirements, Ontology will continue to develop new common modules.

Highlights

  • Decentralized Trust Ecosystem
  • High-Performance Distributed Trust Collaboration Platform
  • One of the best blockchains from a technical point of view ever
  • Ontology is a cross-chain network made for communications with everything
  • Supporting securities and help to different blockchains to customize their dApps
  • Core values: Strong technical level scalability, sharding, and performance
  • ONT tokens generate ONG regardless of where it is held. It is up to the individual exchange to decide if they want to distribute the ONG
to the ONT holders on their platforms
  • Ontology has one billion MC vs. NEO’s 100 million MC

Ontology is a forefront ecosystem that provides data exchange and authorization where You are in full control of your data all the time.
They do this via Digital identity mapping — customers data synchronized with your ID. Ontology’s “trust identity” is a connector/mapping list for “digital identity” services, including NEO ID, which can help NEO ID link to more business scenarios.

The mission of ONT is Solving three fundamental problems of mass adoption:

  • Companies cannot start using blockchain technology immediately;
helping them to transcend the abyss that separates them from using new tech; Ontology solves this problem by creation of a bridge connecting
the real world with any blockchain (like NEO and so on)
  • Building the “Trust in systems” (in big companies, in governments…)
  • Big companies don’t trust Opensource projects thus don’t want them
    to store their data

On those three fundamental problems, the last one is the core issue, reason why Ontology was created to bridge business use cases and the blockchain, where businesses are concerned about putting data on the blockchain.

ONT, NEO, and OnChain are different companies but people getting those three mixed up sometime. Let’s make this right once for all.

NEO and OnChain are separate entities, and they are also separately funded. NEO is a community funded project where Onchain is funded by a very famous financial group in China, Fosun. NEO is not a property of OnChain and vice versa. They just share the same founder/co-founder team. Ontology is a product developed by OnChain. Founder of NEO, Dahong, is a Co-founder of OnChain and Founder of ONT, Junli is also a Co-founder of OnChain.
A piece of cake. You can listen more about this story in the YouTube interview with NEO Founder Da Hongfei here.

ONT + NEO

The Ontology Foundation and the NEO Foundation signed a memorandum
of understanding on May 14th, 2018, concerning strategy and technology integration. You can reach for further information about this technological fusion in the articles below.

Ontology and Neo in strategic partnership

Ontology Foundation and NEO Foundation to Co-Fund a Joint Task Force

NEO focus on digital assets and smart economy meanwhile ONT focus on trust within cooperations scenarios, trust identity, and distributed data. Together, they create a fantastic bridge in between companies and blockchain technology, over the river of MassAdoption.

The real world use case of Ontology

Replacing centralized KYC methods that result in personal data scattered across the globe and companies selling them.

Ontology provides trust in the trustless environment where Smart contracts replace the middleman.
Fair enough.

That was the end of my recapitulation of 2018 projects that you should be aware of and I congratulate you for coming that far in this article with me.

Well, man, damn again, the wall of text has been made. Even though I got myself a New year resolution about not to write long stuff anymore
(but I don’t want to bother you with details). Hmmm, maybe next time.
The List of great projects from 2018 could continue with other decent adepts like here above mentioned NEO (supported strong community called City of Zion) followed by Credits, Ravencoin, Digitex Futures, Cardano, Dent, and Huddle (Stephen Corliss , the CEO at Huddle, is also a co-Founder, ex-COO
at BlackRock and ex-Cheif Strategy Officer of Ethos (BQX in 2017)).

P.S. I would like to heartily thank all who helped me get the right information and were always cool solving my irritating demands (for QNT telegram: admin The Eye of QNT and for ONT telegram: admins CloudU and Patrick Van Oorschot). Thank you.
