AltConf, the Alternative Apple Developer Conference, returns for its seventh year and, following Apple’s surprise relocation of WWDC, is also moving to San Jose, CA, 5–8 June.
We’re extremely excited to announce that AltConf 2017 will be held in the San Jose Marriott — not only is this next door to WWDC, but it also has a direct connection to and from WWDC! With almost double the capacity of previous years, our theatre space alone is able to host 900, and new for 2017, we’re introducing a Community space which will be available to you to book out for your community group event or to host your own lab. In keeping with tradition, we’ll be screening Apple’s Keynote and State of the Union on Monday 5th. Tuesday — Thursday, we’ll be running two speaker tracks. These days will be packed with a diverse range of talks presented to you by and for the community.
Free tickets for AltConf 2017 are now available. As in previous years, we’ll have a limited number of Scholarship tickets available, or, if you want to support AltConf, we’ve got a number of Hero Supporter tickets available — these come with guaranteed access to all talks and an AltConf swag bag! Our Call for Speakers is now open! Complete your application here. All submissions will be anonymised before being reviewed by a panel made up of members of the iOS community. Submissions close on 04/24/17 Midnight PDT.
