Are we Surprised by“Quiet Quitting” when the World is Burning?
Companies seem surprised that employees are losing motivation, leaving or tuning out. How can we carry on with Business as Usual with everything that’s happening?

There’s a phenomenon that recruiters, HR managers and CEOs are currently worried about — it’s becoming harder and harder to find and retain good, talented staff who are motivated to do their jobs. You may have heard the term The Great Resignation being used to describe high numbers of people voluntarily leaving their jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
For those who haven’t actually left their jobs, there is “quiet quitting” — which doesn’t refer to ghosting on your 9–5, but to a modern “trend” of setting healthy work/life boundaries and no longer making your job the sole focus of your life.
