We are now able to connect and interact with people more now than we ever have before.
With multiple tools at your fingertips, you can meet anyone from anywhere. As an author, I can sell my book to a reader in Hong Kong and talk to that reader from my living room in the United States. How crazy is that?!
However, with numerous chances to connect, we often find ourselves disconnected.
Why the disconnect?
Many of us find it easy to become lost in the vast information the internet has to offer, both informative and non-informative.
Not only do we become disconnected from the relationships in our lives when we live on a screen, but we mindlessly scan social media and search engines for answers we aren’t sure are there.
So why not change this narrative?
Take the time to connect.
When you take the time to connect and engage with those around you, both in real life and on the internet, you open possibilities.
Instead of liking the comment someone left on your social media post, engage in a conversation. Instead of sharing someone’s post and moving on, start a conversation about how much it resonated with you and why! When you make the effort to connect and engage, you meet some amazing people and learn from their different perspectives.
