AlterVerse Hires New Programmer: Tim Barnes

The AlterVerse team is excited to announce our latest addition — Tim Barnes, who will be working as a Programmer in helping to build Sky City!

With a Diploma of Information Technology Networking from TAFE NSW, Tim started out as a network administrator, learning C++ programming on the side.

After writing the WoT Tank Viewer, he moved onto open-source Torque3D game engine where he implemented phyx 3 module, worked on Direct3d11 and OpenGL, helped bring back macOS support, implemented sRGB support, and worked on the PBR implementation. Finally, he moved over to the Unreal Engine!

His favorite games include Half Life 2: Episode 2, Portal 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat, GTA V and Minecraft.

When he has free time, Tim enjoys going on walks, watching motorspots, and working on graphics libraries.
