AltLayer partners with Brevis to add ZK coprocessor to rollups
We’re now adding another ZK coprocessor service provider to our partner roster! AltLayer is delighted to boost our capabilities with Brevis’s coprocessor, which will bring trustless data access and computation to dApps built on AltLayer’s restaked rollups.
A closer look at Brevis
Brevis is a smart zero-knowledge coprocessor that empowers smart contracts to read from and utilize the full historical on-chain data from any chain and run customizable computations in a completely trust-free way. Using Brevis, developers can create a multitude of data-driven features — DEXes can build VIP loyalty programs based on a user’s past trading volume; active liquidity management protocols can trigger predefined user intents with ZK-verified on-chain states and events; AMMs can have strong LVR protection and more robust farming reward distribution programs; protocols can utilize multi-dimensional ZK-reputation metrics to segment users and provide a personalized UX based on an address’s on-chain footprint.
Brevis will be deploying its ZK coprocessor for AltLayer’s rollups. This will build on our focus on bringing new capabilities to those deploying rollups via AltLayer.
Strengthening AltLayer’s restaked rollups
AltLayer’s ‘restaked rollups’ will now be boosted with the Brevis coprocessor. Restaked rollups are our flagship product. They feature three vertically integrated Actively Validated Services (AVS) products, which can be used independently or collectively to improve a rollup’s functionalities via:
- Decentralized sequencing (SQUAD)
- Fast finality (MACH)
- Verification of a rollup state’s correctness (VITAL)
By making the Brevis co-processor available to restaked rollups, builders on AltLayer can trustlessly compute over historical on-chain data and build data-driven dApps responsive to dynamic data input.
