After Taipei Fashion Week SS21, JENN LEE hold an exhibition at Venue. Except THE SHOW and VOGUE Select Shop, the exhibition shows more clothing to everyone at a space : The Free of Guanyin and Sustainable Fashion.
The Beginning
During some Fashion shows, JENN LEE designer Jenn Lee found out models have more limitation and no confident, even they have good shape. But the other ones are in contrast, they have confident and lightheartedness to show themselves, even they don’t have good shape in commend.
The Free of Guanyin
Confident and lightheartedness make Jenn Lee consider the one of Chinese god “Guanyin”. In Chinese culture, Guanyin is the god helps people in trouble, give people guide in difficult situation. Guanyin’s sculpture and image make Chinese feel lighthearted and unrestrained, it’s why the spirit of JENN LEE SS21 combine the concept : The Free of Guanyin. Jenn Lee hopes everyone wears JENN LEE clothing or the other, can always keeps confident and be-self.
Milk fishes’s Fabric
Spirit is from Guanyin, the clothing style is made of milk fishes’ scales, and denim donated by people.What is milk fishes’ scales? the fabric is made of Taiwan’s famous fish — milk fish. In Fishing industry, people make milk fish become meal, and abandon the useless fish scale. Taiwanese reuse the fishes’ scales these years by improved technology, resulting in the recycle fabric — milk fishes’ fabric is popular in Taiwan.

This time, Jenn Lee cooperate with an international experimental video artist — MEL HSIEH who used surreal skill to make printing. Expressionless Face, Spine with bone spurs, Buddha with a half of bones and an fly stand on eyeball. What do they mean? the answer is what’s your thinking.

The design skill breaks the established impression, waistline become leg part, keep the pockets but at the tricky position. Pockets positions are different with different products and design. Everyone is unique!
Cut out of pants become one piece of jacket. The vest is made of abandon ribbon. Alucard can image the sexy look to wear the set on a woman. Cool gloves! made from abandon underwear. Male can wear it as well, it also cool for female!!
Accessories are earrings and necklace. The IC card is re-used material, handmade master grind the back side into the finger pose of Guanyin. Combine the old style with new generation.

Apart from the show room, the exhibition has the other space for knowledge and records, people who donate denims are collected at this part(the other is at the featured image aka the show room main space) for this season fabric.
