What a ride. This morning TechCrunch announced our $16M Series A financing led by Tomasz Tunguz at Redpoint, with continued support from Gordon Ritter, Santi Subotovsky and the entire Emergence Capital team.

We’re also a Gold Sponsor for SaaStr Annual this week, so if you’re around, please come by Booth 15 to say hi, or stop by our VIP Sales Saloon on Tuesday at Soluna Cafe from 3:30 to 6:30!

“Wait — didn’t you just announce a seed round a few months ago,” you might be thinking. We did! But there was a product to build and a team to recruit, so we waited to announce our seed round. This time we decided not to wait.

My post about our seed round shared why we’re so excited about this opportunity to build a product that fundamentally changes the way organizations have sales conversations. As our product and vision get refined, we’re discovering that the opportunity is actually much bigger — to actually change the conversation about sales. Chorus doesn’t just improve your sales conversations, it helps AE’s collaborate on a deal with their peers, changes how Enablement creates training material and battle cards (using real-world moments from real-world conversations!), and influences how Product prioritizes features based on what customers truly demand. We believe that aside from your people and your customers, your most valuable asset is the conversations between the two. Chorus captures and unlocks the value of those conversations so you can manage your pipeline and make decisions using data, not just anecdotes.

In addition to accelerating our go-to-market efforts, this funding enables our R&D team, led by my co-founder, Micha Breakstone, to advance our technological leadership. We are the only company that fully owns our conversation intelligence stack, from speech recognition, through natural language processing and machine learning. We’re dedicated to truly understanding conversations and delivering insights and coaching when it counts most — in real-time as they happen.

I’m proud of what our amazing team in San Francisco and Tel-Aviv has accomplished in a relatively short period of time, but this isn’t about us. The most exciting part of this announcement is what it means for the Account Executives we work with, their managers, and any sales organization that wants to replicate what their best reps do to close deals.

Great products are built through great customers, and iron sharpens iron. Great customers are great because they aren’t easy to please. A heartfelt thank you to every one of our customers and Account Executives that have been using Chorus day-in and day-out and holding us accountable. We wouldn’t be here without you.

Roy Raanani — CEO & Co-Founder, Chorus.ai

P.S. Chorus has now captured over 500,000 sales conversations. Here’s to many more to come.
