What is alwaysNFT?
alwaysNFT protects your valuable NFT investments by ensuring that NFT media and artwork never disappear.
We all know that NFT definitions are stored on a "forever" blockchain. But the artwork that the NFT represents is almost always stored elsewhere on the internet — usually on IPFS (the InterPlanetary FileSystem). If the creator of the NFT fails to take specific actions to keep the artwork on the network, it can "age out" of IPFS over time — leaving you with just a broken link where your artwork used to be.
We've analyzed millions of NFTs and found that in too many cases, the media, artwork or metadata of the NFT is unavailable. In a survey of more than 2 million tokens, we found that 17% already had missing artwork or media. See this blog post for a discussion of how good NFTs go bad.
alwaysNFT prevents these NFT total existence failures by checking your NFT portfolio and storing the NFT media and artwork on our geo-redundant IPFS servers. You can then be sure that, regardless of what actions your NFT creator may or may not have taken, your NFTs will be protected.

¹ The alwaysNFT VIP Pass tokens will be airdropped commencing on 5 August. The first 500 users to register a wallet which contains valid NFTs will receive a token. Users must supply a valid ETH or Polygon address to receive the token, however, the connected wallet can be a Solana or Flow wallet. One token per user. When all 500 tokens have been airdropped, one ETH will be transferred to one of the accounts registered, randomly selected. We reserve the right to eliminate any registrations that appear to be scammy :-).
