CNY buildings go purple for Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month

Shades of purple will cast a cloak of local support during the month of June for Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month.

National Grid Building, Syracuse

A handful of buildings will be lit purple at night to commemorate the month, including:

  • The Oneida County Office Building in Utica, from June 1 through 30.
  • The Barclay Damon Tower in Downtown Syracuse, from June 2–30.
  • The National Grid building in Downtown Syracuse, from June 17–23.
  • The Glenn G. Bartle Library Tower at Binghamton University, from June 20–22.

June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, a time dedicated to increasing public awareness of Alzheimer’s disease, available resources and how you can get involved to support the cause. The Alzheimer’s Association is asking everyone to come together this June to support Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month and to join the fight against Alzheimer’s. Visit alz.org and learn more about Alzheimer’s, its warning signs, the importance of early detection and diagnosis as well as information on care and support.
