Jennifer Balog to lead Alzheimer’s Association fundraising efforts

Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter Chief Executive Officer Catherine James has announced the hiring of Jennifer Balog of Rome to the position of senior director of development.

Balog will oversee all aspects of fundraising for the Chapter, including individual and corporate giving, and its two signature events: Walk To End Alzheimer’s® and The Longest Day®.

She joined the Chapter in July 2019 from Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton, where she was the director of development and marketing. She previously held executive director positions with the American Heart Association and American Red Cross. Balog holds a Certified Fund Raising Executive credential. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and master’s degree from Utica College.
