Amadeus Beta Release
Today we are very happy to announce that we’re launching Amadeus Beta at Kovan Testnet including a new feature: Quote Provider Relayer Strategy.
What is the Quote Provider Strategy?
It is another way for dApps to interact with the API giving them more flexibility.
Amadeus can provide its own liquidity by simply broadcasting an intent to trade (unsigned order). Traders can submit a signed order with the rate specified by the relayer who can then choose to fill the order using owned tokens or external liquidity.
What is the difference between Quote Provider and Reserve Manager (already implemented by Amadeus)?
The first big difference is that this strategy does not require any commitments to be made until the trader agrees to a rate, which means any arbitrary off-chain negotiation process can occur before an order is signed. Once an order is signed, the relayer also has the option of hedging with external liquidity, so the relayer does not necessarily need large reserves as with the reserve manager strategy.
What are the big advantages of using Quote Provider?
- Customers won’t spend gas, Amadeus is responsible for filling the order;
- The customer can send an order with a greater volume than what is available in Amadeus and we may choose to fill it;
- There is time for Amadeus to provide liquidity in case there is no reserves available for an specific trade pair;
- The dApp will have the option to inform which order he needs instead of choosing one from the available pool;
How can you test this strategy to understand how it works?
