Welcome to the 100 NC Soccer Clubs series!

We start with Front Porch FC. The name is inspired by the iconography used in the town of Black Mountain; the rocking chair and the spot where you comfortably use the rocking chair, the front porch. Known as the, “Front porch of the Blue Ridge Mountains,” the town square features an iconic public art display of three rocking chairs. A small town club focused on building a community with artisans and crafters, the club would mirror Black Mountain’s slow pace and quiet lifestyle.

The club’s matches would be held at the upgraded Black Mountain Veteran’s Park or at a proposed sports facility just west of Black Mountain in Swannanoa. The primary color of the kit would be blue with tan trim and detail from the crest. Ascending up the kit, the top’s pattern and gradient coloring reflects the terrain of the town.

About me
First and foremost I am an amateur with no formal training. My hope is that this series will spark other creatives to make their own versions. Learn more about the series here. I was born and raised in Middlesex, North Carolina and have spent most of my adult life living in Raleigh. I am a fan of the beautiful game who wants to see it grow at the grassroots level.
