Mid-Atlantic North — Week 4

Game 1 — Moros FC vs Sosa FC

UPDATE: This match has been moved to Mills Park Middle School and will now kick off at 7pm.

Moros FC

Last week Moros lit up the division when they went down to Sanford and put up six unanswered. They have now scored fifteen goals in three games and have only conceded five. Safe to say that they are in making their mark in this division. This week they host Sosa, a team who has already been on the receiving end of two blowouts, and it is hard to expect anything less this week.
Record: 3–0–0
Next Week: @ Raleigh International FC — 10/17

Sosa FC

Sosa FC were up 1–0 on FC Cardinals with thirty-five minutes left to play before was suspended due to a transformer blowing out the lights. That goal is a positive turn of events for a side that has not seen the back of the next for the first two weeks of the season. Now that they found the back of the net once, can they take on the top of the division and earn some points? I have my doubts, but it’d be something.
Record: 0–0–2
Next Week: @ San Lee FC — 10/17

Zac’s Prediction: MFC 8–0
Zack’s Prediction: MFC 9–0

Zack will be on location for this match, his first of the season.

Game 2 — Raleigh International FC vs FC Cardinals

Raleigh International FC

Raleigh had a respectable showing against Goldsboro this past week and moved into second place on the table. They continue their three game homestand versus the Cardinals this week and will want to maintain form to keep first place within reach.
Record: 2–0–1
Next Week: vs Moros FC — 10/17

FC Cardinals

The Cardinals are on the road for the first time this season. Last week their game vs Sosa was cut short by a blown transformer, but if Sosa’s Instagram story is to be believed, it wasn’t going so well. Perhaps a change of scenery will do some good for this team and will start the turnaround they need.
Record: 0–0–2
Next Week: vs Goldsboro Strike Eagles FC — 10/17

Zac’s Prediction: RIFC 3–2
Zack’s Prediction: RIFC 4–1

Zac will be on location for this match.

Game 3 — Goldsboro Strike Eagles FC vs San Lee FC

Goldsboro Strike Eagles FC

The Strike Eagles are on a bit of a slip after a strong start to the season. Two loses in a row are concerning, especially since they have played the current top two of the table each once already. This week they face a San Lee that will be looking to rebound after an embarrassing time out. Should make for an interesting match.
Record: 1–0–2
Next Week: @ FC Cardinals — 10/17

San Lee FC

I don’t think either of us thought that San Lee would have let six goals in before last week. It is out of character for a team that has been fairly consistent. They’ll have to lick their wounds and push on to their next match that features a slipping Goldsboro. If San Lee can re-compose it should be a good match against two similarly leveled sides.
Record: 2–0–1
Next Week: vs Sosa FC — 10/17

Zac’s Prediction: Draw 1–1
Zack’s Prediction: GSE 2–1

We have added the Moros FC v Sosa FC game for week four back onto our list. Zack will now be covering that match.

We will be on location for several games in October. These dates are subject to change based on how comfortable and safe we feel at a venue and our schedules. That being said, let us know if you’ll be at a game and definitely flag us down if you see us!
