Game 1 — Goldsboro Strike Eagles FC v Raleigh International FC

Goldsboro might have the writing on the wall for their season after last week’s defeat at home versus Moros. We’re also not exactly sure how playoffs will work with two teams having left the division (still being counted in the table though), but the Strike Eagles could still find themselves in the post-season if it remains top four teams.

Raleigh International FC
Raleigh had one of their bye weeks off this past weekend. A well rested side will travel to Goldsboro looking to create separation between themselves and San Lee on the table. If the playoffs include top four SLFC and RIFC will be seeing each shortly and the difference between the two on the final table is who gets to host. If the playoff cut goes down to two, Raleigh will need every points they can grab in order to stay ahead.

Game 2 — Moros FC v San Lee FC
Moros FC
Moros continue their undefeated run again last week with a 3–1 win over Goldsboro Strike Eagles FC. They have all but locked up first place in this season. We don’t see that changing anytime soon, and look forward to seeing them make a push into the post-season. One item of note: Goldsboro has sent a complaint to the UPSL claiming that Moros had an illegally rostered player. We’re keeping an eye on this story as it develops.

San Lee FC
San Lee have had an extra week off to prepare against the top of the table. Nobody has been able to find the weakness in the Moros onslaught, but there is plenty of tape this late in the season. My worry is San Lee’s work on transitioning on the attack. Against a fast team like Moros they will have to be tidy and precise in order to walk away with any points.
