It may be good, or it may be not, but just take the adventure. Don’t use me as an excuse not to live

Catherine and Mario — Marcel the Shell with Shoes On

Marcel (Jenny Slate) lives with his grandmother Connie (Isabella Rossellini) after his parents go missing. Marcel would like to see them again but doesn’t know how to look for them and find them.

Dean (Dean Fleischer-Camp) comes to his aid, a young man who decides to tell Marcel’s story with a video to post on social media.

This makes Marcel famous, so much so that he takes him to television, where everyone can’t wait to hear the story of a shell that talks like humans.

Comedy with some dramatic moment that is based on that particular form of animation is represented as a perfect example in the well-known works of the master Tim Burton.

It must be said that the result obtained by directorial debut Dean Fleischer-Camp is impressive, primarily for the way it enters the soul of the viewer.

Slow, light, and full of questions to ask, which increase minute by minute, penetrating together with the answers in the soul of all those who can not help but feel part of Marcel’s life.

The way in which human relationships are told by this “non-human boy” is also splendid.
