As we all know, Qualcomm will release a new generation of flagship platform Snapdragon 875 at the end of this year. Samsung, OPPO, and Xiaomi will be the first batch of mobile phone brands for commercial Snapdragon 875 platform. Among them, Samsung, a smart phone manufacturer, is the first to adopt the Snapdragon 875 model of the Galaxy S21 series, which will be officially released in Q1 2021. On October 3, 2020, according to Korean media reports, Samsung introduced the S Pen, the iconic accessory of the Galaxy Note series on the Galaxy S21 series. This will be the first time the Galaxy S series is equipped with a stylus. Prior to this, the Samsung Note series was mainly equipped with a stylus. In this regard, in my opinion, if Samsung introduces the iconic accessory S Pen of the Galaxy Note series on the Galaxy S21 series, then this means that the difference between the two model series will become less and less obvious. In addition, for the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, its battery capacity and fast charging power have also been exposed. Especially on fast charging, the news revealed that Samsung Galaxy S21 series will be equipped with 65W fast charging.

Specifically, the report pointed out that the Samsung Galaxy S21 series includes Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra. Regarding this, in my opinion, in today’s smart phone market, new phones released by smart phone manufacturers such as Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, and vivo often include more than one model. That is, the layout of multiple versions helps to form differentiated competition in price and configuration, so as to meet the needs of more smart phone users. Among the three models in the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is the top version of the series, which will be equipped with an S Pen stylus. In this regard, in the eyes of industry insiders, as a symbol of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series, S Pen now has more ways to play. It can act as a “remote control”, has Bluetooth function, and can remotely control the phone to take pictures. And S Pen supports quick writing on the screen, you can record your thoughts and creativity at any time.

On this basis, many people in the industry believe that Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is equipped with S Pen stylus to attract Galaxy Note series users. Foldable screen phones are expected to gradually replace Samsung Galaxy Note series and become Samsung’s flagship flagship in the second half of the year. . Of course, it should not be easy for Samsung to complete the replacement of the Galaxy Note series. For example, in the case of foldable mobile phones, there is currently a relatively high price problem. Compared with the Note series, there is a natural price disadvantage, which is not conducive to the growth of overall shipments. In addition to the S Pen stylus, for the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, its battery capacity and fast charging power have also been exposed. Recently, according to Korean media reports, Samsung has passed the certification for a 65W fast-charging charger, which may be built for the Samsung Galaxy S21 series.

According to Korean media reports, the model of this 65W fast charging head is EP-TA865, which passed the certification on September 23, 2020. In this regard, in the opinion of the industry, if the Samsung Galaxy S21 series really supports 65W fast charging, it means that Samsung has returned to the first echelon in terms of charging. As far as the current smartphone market is concerned, many flagship phones released by smartphone manufacturers such as Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, and vivo are equipped with fast charging above 60W. For example, the OPPO Find X2 series is equipped with 65W fast charging, while the Huawei Mate 40 series , Broke the news that it will support 66W fast charge. In addition, smartphone manufacturers such as Xiaomi, vivo, and OPPO have mass-produced models with fast charging and above 100W. Therefore, for Samsung, a smart phone manufacturer, it naturally also needs to fit this trend. Prior to this, the flagship phones launched by Samsung tended to be more restrained and conservative in fast charging power, that is, there was a large gap with the flagship phones of smart phone manufacturers such as Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, and vivo.

Finally, before this, the battery capacity of the Samsung Galaxy S21+ smartphone was explosively increased to 4800mAh, an increase of 300mAh compared to the previous generation; the battery capacity of Samsung Galaxy S21 is 4000mAh, and the battery capacity of Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is 5000mAh. In this regard, in the opinion of many netizens, combined with the 65W fast charging, it seems that Samsung’s pile of materials on the S21 series is really sufficient. As for the 5000mAh battery, it obviously belongs to the configuration of a large battery, that is, it can meet the needs of smart phone users in terms of battery life. In the era of 5G smart phones, new phones released by major smart phone manufacturers are often equipped with batteries with a capacity of more than 4000mAh, which are all to avoid affecting the user’s experience in terms of battery life.

In the core configuration, Samsung Galaxy S21 series is expected to debut Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 processor. What we can know at present is that all Snapdragon 875 processors are likely to be mass-produced by Samsung. Because there have been reports that Qualcomm and Samsung have reached an agreement of 850 million US dollars, by Samsung 100% foundry Qualcomm processors. The performance changes between the two different versions of Qualcomm’s series are not obvious, and even only slightly increase the clock speed of the CPU and GPU. But on the Snapdragon 865 Plus processor, Qualcomm has added support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. In terms of performance, the Snapdragon 875 may use the ARM Cortex-X1 based super core to customize the Kryo 685 core, and will add an embedded Snapdragon X60 5G modem.
