One of the biggest parts of being in Kappa Alpha Theta is service. Our chapter’s philanthropy is CASA for Children, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA is a program that allows children who suffer from abuse and neglect a volunteer advocate, who stays with them and helps them until they are placed into a safe permanent home. These trained advocates also give judges critical information during the process to guarantee that these children receive the rights they deserve. This Saturday from noon to 5 p.m., we are hosting our first Kicks for Casa event which will raise money for CASA children. The event is a kickball tournament, open for anyone to join. This will be a very fun way of getting to known other people, and getting others to know what CASA is. Also, we will be raising money for a great cause.
