The Worm is the first Social NFT on the Ethereum blockchain. There’s only one original Worm and its mission is to travel to as many wallets as possible.
Since the idea is to share it around, The Worm makes a copy of itself when it leaves your wallet (we call the copies “Holograms”). That way you can help The Worm on its mission by passing it along, but also hold onto a little bit of The Worm and have verifiable proof that you once hosted it!
We like to think of this as “Social Minting” — if you want the Hologram you have to get someone in your social network to share the original with you, thereby adding you to the network of people who have minted the project.
Minting doesn’t happen on a platform or website, it happens each time the original NFT is shared.

The Worm is currently in NFT artist @Ars0nic’s wallet. In fact, @Ars0nic’s wallet is the only one The Worm has visited yet because he minted The Worm into existence on Sunday, July 18.
