I sit here — writing this — ready to watch the J6 hearings’ fifth day. Today, we’re promised never-before-seen footage of a documentary that recorded Donald Trump’s last days in office; at the height of his attempt to overthrow the results of the 2020 election.
Is this real?
Unfortunately.
This morning, I anxiously awaited SCOTUS rulings on Roe. I’ll have to wait one more day for those. My hunch is that justices want the ability to get out of town before that ruling is released.
When you have to barricade a public space — the Supreme Court building — are you really in tune with the American populous? That’s rhetorical.
Fifty years of precedent overturned by minority rule. (>60% of Americans support access to abortion.)
We’re all numb to these episodes of Black Mirror that we’re living in.
We shouldn’t be. We should be protesting, organizing, putting our people in place, and voting. Maybe we will?
