Freight Farms introduces a scalable farming platform that can be operated anywhere. By up-cycling shipping containers into a source for high yield crop production, Freight Farms makes food accessible in environments where farming has never been possible.

Freight Farms eliminates the inefficiencies associated with commercial farming and streamlines every element of the growing process, from seed to harvest. Each unit is outfitted with advanced climate technology that creates the optimal growing conditions needed to maximize any harvest. The configuration of the system delivers high quality production at a low cost of operation and uses a fraction of the energy compared to traditional and greenhouse production. Unlike these other methods of commercial farming that grow food by the square foot, Freight Farms grows food by the cubic foot. This allows up to three thousand plants to be harvested at one time in a single unit.

A world full of Freight Farms would mean that EVERYONE would have access to fresh, quality, and affordable food. Our food system would no longer be harmful to our environment (the current food supply system accounts for one-third of humans’ carbon footprint). Freight Farms are built for universal access, commercial growers, and community farmers alike. The system provides a turnkey solution to farming in places that lack the infrastructure or climate to grow food.

Freight Farms also puts the profitability back in the hands of the farmers.
