Yesterday we went to spend some time in the town of Aschaffenburg, in Bavaria.

To get there was only a 45 minute drive from Frankfurt, and we arrived just in time for lunch at a nice café.

After lunch, we went and walked up to the castle, and Pompejanum. The pomejanum is a replica of a Roman Villa. It was great to be able to see both of them, and we enjoyed our day walking around in the summer sun.

There was also a beautiful park along the Mine river, next to the castle. As we walked down the path, we were able to see the landscape, as well as beautiful views of the castle and the Pompejanum.
