Yesterday, we went to the PalmenGarten in Frankfurt. It was a lovely place full of flowers, and fun activities for the kids.

We all had a great time wandering around slowly and soaking up all of the scenery there.

The garden is 150 years old, and has many old buildings on the site. It is well-maintained, and has palm trees here in the middle of Germany, hence its name.

Here is what their website had to say about their anniversary year:

“Just forward, don’t despair, don’t ask too much to the right and left, dare with God” — with this quote from its founder Heinrich Siesmayer, the Palmengarten looks back on its anniversary year. The Palmengarten turned 150 years old on March 16, 2021. And just as undaunted as its founder, the entire garden team pushed ahead with many anniversary projects and made them a reality.

There were lots of great activities built into the Palmengarten for kids too. There were two playgrounds, as well as a water play area. River really enjoyed spending time there.
