A Thought

A Monoku

--

Abstract painting
Painting by Monoreena

I wrote poetry- even before I started writing them.

A Monoku is a poetic form consisting of a single horizontal line.Unlike the traditional Haiku, which is made up of three lines with total of 17 syllables(5–7–5),Monoku features a single line with 17 or less syllables. The one here has 15 syllables.

Thank You, Pierre Trudel, Tapan Avasthi, Heidi Franklin, Jenny Justice, and American Haiku for creating this amazing space for poets.

Thank you everyone for taking note.
