Deluge

A Haiku

--

rain painting, haiku
Painting by Monoreena

Touch earth to arouse
Poetic-moment droplets
O! Dead poet’s musings

Author’s Notes:
Rain is classically poet’s muse. As a child, when poetry did not find its way,I still loved rains.I would sit on my window sill, watching it hit the earth to create that rain song , touch on serene, that drenched the roads and unknowingly my soul.
As I sat to write with nothing much in mind today, I found my self wet with the deluge of yester-years which wanted to become a poetry — I couldn’t refuse.

Thank you Pierre Trudel Jenny Justice Tapan Avasthi Heidi Franklin and American Haiku for giving me my space and publishing my words.

Thank you to everyone who takes note
