Lunar Lullaby
A Cascading Haiku
“Beautiful, beautiful.Magnificent desolation” — Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin, NASA scientist, on landing on moon with Neil Armstrong.
o nocturnal sun,
spreading smile in lightyear walks
thy shine I behold.
stars like lantern glow,
loony arrival curved out
of thy morning beau!
shimmery silver,
enter valley of sleep where
dreams gossamer reign,
spread like sheet where I
lie weary, eyes’ lullaby,
wrap my soul tender.
“Don’t worry if you’re making waves just by being yourself. The moon does it all the time” — Scott Stabile
