Nature’s Song

Evolution of a day…

Evening mutes to gray,
Black silence on the waters,
Before crickets sing.

Forming a new day,
All dark before the sun breaks
As colors open.

Its beak attentive,
The early hunter is out,
Sharp sword swift to stab.
