You are not alone

Even when you are by yourself

I will still be with you

*****

Neither the dark of night

Nor the shadows of the day

Will separate you from my light

*****

Yes, I can see you

Unlike all of the others

I will not look through you

*****

Eventually, this,

Along with all the sleepless nights,

Will be far behind you

*****

You are so much stronger

So much more capable

Than you give yourself credit for

*****

Close your eyes and breathe

There’s nothing wrong with a deep breath

And a cold drink of water

*****

You don’t always have to pretend,

Keeping a big smile on your face —

Just come and talk to me
