Glass firm in your mouth
as the water gurgles past
your red parted lips.

Hair pulled back eyes flash
as the warmth from your vocal
chords radiates out.

Feet arch up as your
blue iridescent toenails
light the path you walk.

Hair brushing across
the nape of your neck as you
talk animated.

Long flowing dress hugs
the warp of your back and the
weft of your firm calves.

Eyes crease and nose crinkles
as you chortle with laughter,
so vulnerable.

Hips sway on high heels
as you smile knowing no one
else’s as beautiful.

I long to absorb
the remnants of your presence,
from the spaces you crossed.
