Painted by Victorian era artist John_Atkinson_Grimshaw (1836–1893) are noctornal scenes of urban escape. Called a “remarkable and imaginative painter” by critic and historian Christopher Wood,Grimshaw is considered the best and most established nightscape and townscape artist of all times.
