AMGI Studios is an independent gaming and animation technology company that lives at the intersection of gaming, technology and storytelling. At the forefront of creating web3-native gaming IPs (intellectual properties), they leverage the latest technological advancements in real-time animation to produce captivating gaming content. In order to create a worldwide brand and onboard users into web3, the studio is bringing together a high-caliber team composed of 60 artists and creators from studios such as Pixar, Disney and Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). AMGI’s vision is simple — to empower dreamers and doers to make groundbreaking content by merging artistry and technology.

Meet the creative minds that bring life to the studio and its projects.

Roger Paglia is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder at AMGI Studios. He is the former Vice Chairman and CEO of CenterStaging, a rehearsal facility specializing in production and tech support for TV and live performances, co-founder of Rehearsals.com, a groundbreaking initiative with Comcast VOD, and founder of the predecessor distribution company to Buena Vista Worldwide Distribution, which was acquired by Disney. Having produced digital titles for a new generation, Roger is fully equipped to steer AMGI Studios toward a future of continued success and dominance in the entertainment world.

Colin Brady is the Chief Creative Officer at AMGI Studios. As a director, creative producer and animation supervisor, Colin has worked at Pixar, Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), Imagi Studios, Rhythm and Hues, Pixomondo and Light Chaser, and directed animation for Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Ang Lee, John Lasseter and Martin Scorsese. He is credited in films such as “Everyone’s Hero” (2006), “Astro Boy” (2009), “TMNT” (2007), and “Toy Story 2” (1999). He supervised scenes for “A Bug’s Life” (1998), “Hugo” (2011), “Green Lantern” (2011) and “Men in Black 2” (2002). Whether he’s directing Pixar characters or furthering performance capture techniques, Colin’s passion is fine-crafting narrative, dialogue, humor and nonverbal acting — creating great stories through the art of animation.

Luke Paglia is the Chief Operating Officer at AMGI Studios who oversees the coordination and execution of all projects. Luke has an extensive background in live-action video production with commercial clients such as Apple and Toyota, and was most recently credited for his work on the music video for the song by Coldplay and BTS, “My Universe.” Luke’s experience with commercial clients ensures that AMGI is delivering world-class animation on schedule every time.

Kevin Mack is the Chief Technical Officer of the My Pet Hooligan video game and Interloop for AMGI Studios. He has worked with top production companies, including Amazon Studios, as a VR and Unreal Engine developer. Kevin co-founded WhiteMoon Dreams, a game developer that shipped one of the first titles ever to be built in Unreal Engine 4. He also co-authored the Packt-published book, “Unreal Engine 4 Virtual Reality Projects,” with Robert Ruud, who was also his co-founder at Manic Machine, a company that specializes in Unreal Engine development for virtual reality, games, and virtual production. With his deep experience in gameplay and Unreal engineering, Kevin brings an innovative, creative approach to building the My Pet Hooligan game.

Carl Schembri is the Game Director of AMGI Studios, having worked as an animator on TV, film and video games for 20 years. He has worked on the Jimmy Neutron franchise, developed multiple video game titles and virtual reality games, such as Amazon VR, Roomscale VR Demo and Starblood Arena (PSVR), and was the former Unreal Engine Tech Director at Amazon Studios. As the My Pet Hooligan Project Director, Carl brings a perfect blend of character animation and video game development that has brought the My Pet Hooligan game to life.

Archie Prakash is a Senior Programmer for AMGI Studios. He has worked at top tech companies such as Google AR as a Technical Director and Disney Imagineering as a Lead Engineer, as well as Electronic Arts and Disney Interactive Group. Archie’s programming expertise and his ability to solve problems creatively, manage complex projects at the scale of My Pet Hooligan, and communicate technical information effectively make him a valuable asset to AMGI Studios.

As a team, AMGI Studios continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in the animation and gaming industries. The studio is committed to supporting the growth of the wider web3 ecosystem by developing proprietary technology that empowers creators and enables them to bring their content to life in new and exciting ways.

The capabilities of AMGI are also strengthened through their partnerships with organizations in web3 and web2 such as Polygon, which will provide support for My Pet Hooligan’s in-game marketplace, BITKRAFT, a prominent gaming and esports firm that lends its expertise, along with Delphi Digital and Yield Guild Games (YGG) who collaborate with AMGI to design the token economics and game structure. Epic Games, Amazon and Fenwick & West are among other reputable organizations that AMGI has partnered with to reinforce its position in the space.

Looking to the future, AMGI remains focused on its mission to be the creative bridge between Hollywood and web3, reshaping the entertainment landscape and ushering in a new era of immersive, interactive experiences. Ultimately, AMGI Studios aims to create a worldwide brand founded on creating the highest-quality franchise IP that merges gaming, entertainment and web3 for the next generation.
