Introducing Amici’s Cabin Campaign

We are delighted to introduce Amici’s Cabin Campaign! A new and exciting opportunity for donors to make a meaningful multi-year pledge to support a cabin of Amici campers.

Amici’s primary focus has always been to provide multi-year access to overnight summer camp for children from low-income families. When Amici campers return to camp year-after-year, the profound and life-changing benefits of summer camp inevitably emerge.

The Cabin Campaign was established to offer donors the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of campers for the next five summers, the average number of years that Amici campers return to their summer homes. What makes the Cabin Campaign unique, is the opportunity for donors to sponsor a cabin individually or to “buddy up” and give the gift of camp together. Providing donors the opportunity to pair up with a friend demonstrates teamwork, and is what camp is all about.

Co-Chaired by David Hadden and Rodger Wright, two life-long friends, the Cabin Campaign aims to fill 15 cabins of eight Amici campers in the first year, with the first cabin co-sponsored by our very own co-chairs!

“As someone who has spent decades at camps as a camper, counsellor, camp director, and part-owner, I have had the privilege of co-sponsoring many Amici children. I have seen, first hand, how the magic of camp transforms lives.” David Hadden

“Sending my own kids to camp and now watching my grandkids go, I know how impactful these summer camp experiences are. My heart soars knowing that my modest volunteer work and dollars may change the life trajectory of the kids who need camp most.” Rodger Wright

Alongside their passion and enthusiasm for camp, David and Rodger bring their widespread fundraising experience to the Cabin Campaign. Working closely with the staff team, they are hoping to send the equivalent of 120 children from low-income families to camp for the next five summers. The team is also looking to reach out to new Amici donors, thus spreading the opportunity to give the gift of camp to more and more children.

The Cabin Campaign is over half way to its goal of 15 cabins! The Amici team would like to thank the current donors to this new campaign. We invite you to provide a sense of belonging, achievement and confidence to Amici campers by joining the Cabin Campaign. Please visit the Cabin Campaign webpage to learn more.
