Data changes the world. Greetings from AMO Labs, car data sophistication/advancement project.

Duk Soo Kim, the CTO of AMO Labs, presented an informative lecture on blockchain and address security at last weekend’s Korea BINANCE SAFU Pre-Hackerton. This event was hosted by BINANCE as a part of a global program to cultivate blockchain developers.

BINANCE Hackathon took place not only in Korea but also simultaneously in many international High-Tech cities including San Francisco, Hong Kong, Singapore.

This global event seeks to discover talented developers by undergoing preliminary and final round competitions in blockchain-utilized idea composition, business model design, and software prototype manufacturing procedure.

In Korea, this two day straight BINANCE event was divided into two sections; Challenger League and Innovation League. Challenger League is a 30-hour-long Hackathon competition for a team of project manager, developer, and designer to plan and develop a new prototype in a limited time.

In Innovation League, contestants give a presentation on their ideas based on the lectures given by Blockchain experts. It is meaningful that it provides opportunities for the general public to come up with new ideas with overall understanding of the blockchain industry.

This event was sponsored by SAFU fund, the founder of BINANCE and was gathered by more than 200 blockchain industry specialists including investors, technicians, researchers, entrepreneurs, press, and professors.

Our CTO, Duk Soo Kim co-presented a lecture with Professor Kim SiHo at Yonsei University, School of Integrated Technology. This special lecture inspired Innovation League participants to come up with new business models. “Is Your Blockchain Address Secure?” as the main theme, contestants from 17 universities were able to gain a better understanding of current state of business in blockchain ecosystem, adequate security infrastructure and how to embody it, and the role of security in the field of blockchain. The participants didn’t show a hint of tiredness all the way through the three-hour lecture. The presenters felt very rewarded by the participants’ great eagerness to learn.

After the lecture, he also conducted an interview with BlockchainHub.

In the interview the CTO revealed that Penta Security, the parent company of AMO Labs, is concentrating on developing cryptocurrency wallet using their vast experience in the IT security field. Kim added that once blockchain or digital asset is institutionalized, a safe B2B wallet will be a must-have for all companies. Penta Security has already developed a wallet for exchange market and have a delivery record.

BINANCE Hackathon provided a meaningful opportunity to plan, discuss, and develop Korea’s promising blockchain projects night and day. Also, students interested in blockchain were given the chance to express their new and creative ideas. It was not only an honor to be invited as a special speaker at the event, but also was a valuable time to discuss the prospect and vision of the blockchain industry. :)

AMO is a blockchain infrastructure for the efficient exchange and sharing of all car data powering the next generation of automobiles.
