Testnet Schedule until Mainnet Launch

According to the AMO Roadmap posted on the AMO Labs homepage, AMO blockchain mainnet is scheduled to launch in 1Q 2020. Since it is January now, we are very close to the boasted schedule. The exact launch date is not decided yet, but we set our internal deadline to be around February. Anyway, it is quite an appropriate timing to announce the testnet schedule.

We expect two more testnet launches until the mainnet. The first one is supposed to launch around the end of January. The purpose is to test all the features we added so far. There would be a some runs of large-scale tests on the net. The second and the last one is supposed to launch right before the mainnet. Maybe 1–2 weeks before the mainnet. The purpose of the net is to test the safe protocol upgrade feature. The feature is to upgrade the AMO abci app’s protocol version smoothly without hard-fork. When you see this last testnet is up, you may consider all the technical preparation for the mainnet is ready. There would be only handful of wrapping-up jobs remaining.

아모랩스 홈페이지에 올라와 있는 AMO 로드맵에 의하면 AMO 블록체인의 메인넷은 2020년 1분기 중에 출시하기로 계획돼 있습니다. 이제 1월이기 때문에 그 스케쥴에 아주 가까이 와 있습니다. 정확한 출시 날짜는 아직 미정이지만 내부적인 데드라인은 2월 중으로 돼 있습니다. 어쨌든, 지금이 그와 관련된 테스트넷 일정을 공지할 적절한 시기인 것 같습니다.

계획상으로는 메인넷까지 두번의 테스트넷 출시가 있을 예정입니다. 첫번째는 1월의 마지막 언저리에 있을 것 같습니다. 목적은 지금까지 추가된 기능들을 시험하기 위한 것입니다. 아마도 대단위의 시험이 몇 차례 있을 것 같습니다. 두번째이자 마지막은 메인넷 직전이 될 것입니다. 아마도 메인넷 전 1–2주 전이 될 것입니다. 이 테스트넷의 목적은 안전한 프로토콜 업그레이드 기능을 시험하기 위한 것입니다. 이 기능은 AMO abci app의 프로토콜 버전을 하드포크 없이 부드럽게 업그레이드하기 위한 것입니다. 이 마지막 테스트넷이 올라온 것을 보시게 되면, 그 때는 메인넷을 위한 모든 기술적인 준비는 끝났다고 생각하셔도 될 것 같습니다. 몇가지 소소한 마무리 작업만 남게 될 겁니다.
