In short, AMPbin is live!

In my opinion, the AMP Project is awesome. I believe it’s a great start to a future of fast websites on mobile devices.

Just because we can do something, doesn’t always mean that we should. When we do everything we can or everything someone wants, you usually end up with a bloated website. Adding lots of JavaScript to pages, oversized images, and poorly constructed HTML/CSS makes me cringe.

You can make websites fast without using AMP, but there are many benefits to using it. A few benefits are Google preloading above the fold content, the site being served by Google’s CDN, lazy-loading of images, and much more.

I wanted a place to create, edit, save and share AMP HTML. AMP by Example has the playground, but you can’t save or share. Now we have another option, AMPbin, that will let you do all of those things.
