Introducing Rafat Awad: A Driving Force in Sustainable Energy
We are thrilled to welcome Rafat Awad, our new Country Manager for the GCC region, to the Ampd Energy family. With an impressive 18-year track record in the mobile energy sectors, Rafat brings extensive experience and an unwavering passion for sustainable energy solutions.
Rafat says, “I am happy to be a part of Ampd Energy, a company that is revolutionising the energy management landscape. When I first saw their groundbreaking product, the Enertainer, I believed that this represented the future of energy.”
Rafat was trained in Electrical & Electronics Engineering at the Near East University and his path has led him to focus on solving the climate emergency. “I am confident that Ampd Energy is charting the course for the future of sustainable energy,” Rafat mentions. “Their commitment to clean technology aligns with my own values, and I am eager to contribute to their mission.”
Rafat devoted over 16 years of his career to the rental business, providing diesel generators to companies engaged in mega projects. He started his career in the power system department at ALBAHAR, a Caterpillar dealer for the GCC region. “It was invaluable experience. I played a vital role in Abu Dhabi team, specialising in the sale and rental of diesel CAT generators, and making a significant impact on the UAE market while I was there.”
From there, he worked his way up the industry eventually managing a fleet of over 1000 equipment pieces supporting a wide range of industries.
Before joining Ampd Energy, Rafat worked at one of the leading renewable energy companies in the Gulf, spearheading the development of innovative hybrid products that seamlessly integrated diesel generators, solar power, and advanced battery technology. “This experience further fueled my passion for sustainable energy solutions and reinforced my belief in Ampd Energy’s technology”, Rafat explained.
