WE CAN DO IT
What an amazing opportunity being part of the family as Global health corps which always think about the world health systems and fight a good fight for the health right which we believe is one of the human right. We as the family we want to challenge the world and make change in our community. I am part of this journey and proud to be.
Recently had a chance to attend one of the training in my country and it was Sexual and reproductive health training, where I had chance to understand how big the challenge of family planning in my country is and where we can not see what to do with it if we are not going to stand and challenge the world by change some of the mentality among our people, this is what we should do right now for better of our tomorrow. Stand and let your voice be had as you challenge this world where people are very busy, and life are destroyed.
By chance I sat down with young women and all of them has kids and had a discussion with them but was surprised to see all that happened because of luck of knowledge and understanding on how their body functioning and parents fail to teach their kids about their body changes. This makes me ask myself why does the parents is afraid of teaching all this to your womb fruits and yet you need best from them?
I remember when I was young we used to sit down with my family watching movies and here comes a part where people are kissing and they would turn off the movie or do forward that part so that we could not watch it, but now day we sit down and watch the whole movie with them and part of it there is kissing and even sex and no one turns it off, so challenging parents by start talking with your sons and daughters about what happens in this world and how can them abstain from all this diseases which are taking away our people by distracting their education chances and led to the increase of poverty within the family and in our community and expand the unplanned population which cannot afford taking care of them.
There is a lot of advantage by engaging parents in such education towards the children and not only leaving everything in the ministry of education, parents should support the teacher to explain to their children when their body changes what does that mean, and create relationship between you and your children that is when they will tell you everything happens to their body and you get chance to explain it friendly and help them pass through that tough time without regret on either side. Teach them about family planning and tell them the advantage and disadvantage of using them, explain to them the truth of it and if you are not telling them others will do it and give the false information. If you do so, you will help your children reach to their dreams, succeeding in their career, have planned family and fight against poverty and all this will be a crown to the parents and national at large. If we don’t do so then, we will live on regretting for many days of our life because, “There will be increase in poverty, the population will keep expanding yet we cannot afford taking care of them, there will be increase of street kids, there will be increase in child mortality rate because this kid is still young to give birth and to take care of the new born their dreams and visions are dead right there”.
As I conclude, lets all join our hands together, Parents, Teachers, Preachers, Elders, Government to help young generation to live in a life of no regret and teach them to abstain from all the consequences on lack of knowledge and live in a life free from STD’s, unplanned pregnancy and drop out of school and many other more. That all kills our happiness and our future yet we have rights to live happily life and enjoy our future.
