Business Intelligence is a software platform to collect, process and analyze the business data. It’s Business Cockpit or Executive Dashboard is an interactive interface to organize,schedule and view the business data visualized in different types of tables, graphs and infographics.The Interactive Dashboard is trending since last couple of years and it is evolving along with the pace of time. A typical Business Intelligence platform comes with a minimal of three components .The first one to transform or move data from one source to another, the second one to process the data and the third one to render or to generate the interpret-able presentations of already processed data from Data warehouse or repository or directly from OLTP. The fast growing volume of data from diversified data sources has invited the growth of a highly scalable BI Platform and it catered by specialized BI Platform like BigData Analytics .It is necessary to understand the different categories or types of Business Intelligence and their architectural and business aspects to think,conceptualize and to design a futuristic Business Intelligence Solution powered by BigData on Cloud.

  1. SOCIAL ANALYTICS:
    Social Analytics and Social Media Monitoring Tools are two indirect ROI generators for Social Media. There are many Social Media Analytics and Monitoring Tools under various categories. HootSuite for Social Media Management, Klout for performance measurement, TwitterReach for reach analysis and Crowdbooster for sharing & monitoring are my recommendations as an individual platform for Personal Branding and Social Media Initiative of SMEs. eMagazines,eNewsPaper, eGazette & eNewsLetter on Smartphones and Phablets are the hot trends of 2013. It has bought the need of another category of Social Analytics to measure the performance of Social Publications.
  2. PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS:
    Predictive Analytics is an interactive,self-predicting, intelligent,smart and intuitive software platform capable of leveraging the functionality to predict or forecast an event or action or any trends automatically. To predict these types of forecasts, a Predictive Analytics consumes an enormous volume of data from the designated sources, business rules, organizational strategies and the real-time inputs from the market. In real business scenarios, it takes inputs of business data from Business Systems like ERP, HRM, TMS, FMS etc,Enterprise Social Networks, Social HR, external data warehouse on cloud or internal data-centers and other useful information from the internet.It is an intelligent and great strategy to combine the capability of Location/Spatial Intelligence with the Predictive Analytics Solution to add the WHERE paradigm on every auto-generated predictions.Almost every kind of organization and any government department can be benefited by the use of Predictive Analytics but Healthcare and Social Media will notice extra benefits. It will trend as the exit strategy of existing BI system for all proactive organization starting from 2013.
