When Men Expect Me to Blindly Trust Them

Years of experience with trauma have gone into constructing the armor I wear around my emotions. Sometimes, I do have to make a calculated decision to remove some of it. The opportunity to decide that someone is safe warms my heart, but I also live by the lessons I have learned.

I have encountered quite a number of men who expect some sort of baseline trust right from the beginning.
