Drugs, the Darknet & the Post Office

Two quick things about this video from VICE on an Australian post office’s efforts to profile and capture darknet drug shipments:

First, there’s a great instance in the video where the artificial intelligence used to create the captions misphrased the desire of Australians for illicit drugs to “. . . American Dream is prescription drugs from India and Europe . . .”

How right the AI is! Most Americans would love low-cost prescription drugs from overseas.

The second funny scene happens at the end. One of the postal inspectors asks how far darknet drug buyers are willing to go to get their products.

Well, clearly not far. Not much beyond their front door, in fact. They use the postman as their drug dealer, for instance.
