Sometime back in a random day dream, I had this idea of a completely virtual country. Where people get citizenship online, file taxes online etc. Absolutely no geographical presence and citizens could live anywhere around the world. The only criteria to citizenship would be to have an invitation from an existing citizen. And the currency would be be, you guessed it, Bitcoin. Or something similar.

Companies could operate from within. Elections held online. And people could work from anywhere and get paid without any hassles of work permit. This would probably be the biggest benefit and what made me think of the idea.

But well, seems like Estonia has already taken the first steps towards it. Whatay!

Let me see if I can file for an “E-citizenship.”
