5 Best Workout YouTube channels
Quarantine and working from home with closed gyms, means either you will get lazy or you kick start with other options like either going for solo run or working out indoors. However, when it comes indoor workouts in home where you are alone things tend to slow down and it ultimately becomes boring. Therefore, I play some very good workout YouTube videos with active music that lifts my mood and keep things exciting.
These YouTube workout videos bring much motivation and builds a routine if followed properly. The key is to stay consistent and follow few rules. I normally keep looking for good workout channels and when found, I stay consistent and use their videos for at least 3 months with combination of few other videos.
Workout rule for better results
One thumb rule I follow is to work out for at least 5 days week and always start my workout with a good warm-up and end it with a relaxing cool-down. I have personally made a private folder in YouTube and have saved some very good warm-up and cool down videos to avoid wastage of time.
Over time I keep changing the types of videos I use, for example if I am working out 5 days in week, 1st day- upper body workouts, 2nd day- abs workout, 3rd day- Legs and lower body workout, 4th day — full body workout and lastly a yoga day that I absolutely love.
There is a basic concept when you are willing to lose weight or gain muscles or both. Make journal or use any good app to log your daily meals and workout sessions. Over the past few years, I have used excel sheets, printed journals and apps. It all depends on your mood, whatever motivates you better. Keep them colorful and exciting as if they are boring and not exciting you, you will ultimately find it boring to log things in them.
Over past few years I have come across the following amazing workout channels that you can use wherever you are at any time.
Rebecca-Louise
After almost one and half year of regular gym, 6 days a week. I took a break as I was tired mentally of regular office and then travelling for gym. Later travelling from gym to home used to take the whole day away and I had no time for anything else. After spending a month or two, I started feeling that I can’t just let my efforts go wasted by leaving the workouts. I had to do something!
Then after searching for some time I came across Rebecca-Louise. She has an amazing website that offers monthly workout plans with daily checklist to be completed. These includes videos and diet plans. Which is all that you need. I used these plans for about a year and the result was just amazing. Rebecca’s style of guiding throughout the workout plan builds a routine that one actually needs no matter wherever they are. Just login into your profile and start working out and tick the workout log done! It worked like a personal trainer that I can access anywhere at any time.
For a bonus, she is offering a free 30 day challenge on her website. Here is the link !
Mr and Mrs Muscle
I have recently come across this channel and have followed their videos for over a week. They are relatively new on YouTube and have almost 500k+ followers. Their workout routines are quite good, and the couple is super energetic. Mr. & Mrs. muscle’s energy is transferred into me as I go along the videos. How about giving it a try for a week and you can feel the results yourself.
You can also check their website here, with monthly meal and workout plans.
POPSUGAR Fitness
Popsugar fitness is one of my long followed YouTube channels and is always my favorite in times where I don’t want to follow the regular video workout routine for a day and want to do a quick full workout including all the warming up and cooling down steps.
Popsugar fitness have a ton of videos on workout and healthy recipes. You can jump into the albums to see the variety of options they provide when it comes to the type of workout you are most interested in. I myself is interested in Yoga and some high-speed standing workouts, as my personal choice of session. Visit the channel and explore it by yourself to see your type of favorite!
Joanna Soh Official
Joanna Soh is a professional certified personal trainer, a nutrition coach and women’s fitness specialist. She offers workout videos, nutrition tips and tricks and consult on healthy eating including some amazing mouth-watering and healthy recipes to assist in your fitness journey. The main thing that attracted me in her videos is the challenge she gives to encourage and motivate.
Tara stiles
Last but not the least, on my list of beloved workout channels is Tara Stiles. I have actually learnt yoga from her from scratch to the wherever I am right now, and I absolutely love it. No weird body bending, no stubborn posture requirements, she teaches yoga with so much ease and smooth transitions that anyone can do it and admire it. The beauty of her yoga style is that she has in cooperated the HIIT into yoga, so if I am not doing the normal workout for a day and having only yoga, I am not missing anything.
The most important part of yoga is the breathing technique which Tara stiles teaches in her videos and keep reminding when and where it is needed. Another important thing that I have noticed, is that it really decreases the stress levels which is so much common right now in the pandemic. When things are tough around, take a break and do some power yoga with a relaxing music in the background ending it with a cup of green tea, you are going to thank me later!
On here website, she is also offering some amazing books and blogs as well. Here is the website link.
