5 Valuable Life Lessons We All Learned in 2020
That one time we all thought 2020 was going to be OUR year.
I think it’s safe to say that 2020 has been a turning point for generations to come. This isolated, anxiety-ridden, viral year has worn us all down and changed our lifestyles dramatically. Not only have things changed locally, but the whole world has drastically modified how we interact with one another.
This isn’t to say 2020 was the worst year in human history. Although we mourn deeply for those whose lives were changed in the blink of an eye, there is also a small glimmer of hope for the future.
I can’t say my life was drastically changed in 2020. I gave birth to our first baby at the end of March, just when the lockdown started in my state. My husband kept his job, and we were still able to get by just fine. Staying at home and caring for our baby would have been what I did either way.
However, I can say I learned some things in spite of the normalcy of daily life. That is, as normal as you can be in the first year of motherhood where your whole life changes anyway.
