A Mini World
A poem about one-sided love
The world has turned into a mini world,
Let’s say a global village!
Like a globe in my hand,
I took a magnifier and looked into it.
I saw lines, big and small, narrow and wide,
and a web spreading out far out of reach.
At the distance of 750 kilometres,
I saw a young lass singing her mournful song
to the mountains,
A shepherd, unaware of his herd, thinking
of how to enslave the young beautiful maid.
I gave a swing to the globe and everything
turned around with the round,
And it stopped!
Suddenly, I saw a river denies to quench the thirst of the two
standing by its side, flowing with it on the bank,
No one was there to rescue them,
And I was like a being, looking from above,
Look astonished at what would happen?
A sorrow swept those sights from my eyes
which I have never seen,
I give another round
and took off the magnifier,
And held the mini globe in my palm,
and I supposed you there somewhere on it,
Kissed it and laughed like a mad,
Wiping my tears.
