Some things do get better,
But some aspects will get worse.
People stand in line for it,
Others see it as a curse.

We used to talk in person
And sent letters from afar.
Then we called to shoot the breeze,
Now texts are sent by car.

The words are often wrong,
The message may be clear,
As technology progresses,
Something’s lost I fear.

We used to go outside all day,
Now we surf the web.
We used to walk around the park,
Now we tweet instead.

We used to eat home-cooked meals,
But now who’s got the time?
All the apps that save us that
Are always on our mind.

It’s fast food if you’re lucky,
Or pizza once again.
We have so many options,
But I remember when

We couldn’t leave the table
Til our casserole was finished,
Now we just throw it out,
Our appetites diminished.
