Today we will break down all the German Shepard myths that have been surfacing around us for an elongated time. Each tale would be explained in detail so that you can see why these German shepherd facts and myths are ludicrous, naive, and senseless. This digital piece will also contain some fascinating dog tricks that you must follow to become a better owner.

1.Adult German Shepherd Are Always Angry

This breed has been getting this label for a decade now. The truth being, they are not angry or violet at all. Every dog breed becomes angry due to three reasons.

The first being when you don’t provide food on time. The second being when you don’t give them proper attention when they need it, and lastly, when you command the dog to play with you when they are in pain due to some injury.

Tip: Now, the German shepherd may become aggressive when they see a new place, new object, and new people. To avoid this, make sure that you provide consistent training from the start.

Tip: When your dog is little, teach him how to adjust to a new environment. Whenever the tail wager listens to your command and does something accurately, then reward them.

Tip: There is a lot of times when your dog whines when they want to go outside. Please don’t take them out; instead, make them follow a command and when they do them correctly, take the dog out.

Tip: Whenever your puppy is hungry, make the puppy roll on the ground. When you want to play with the puppy, make sure that you make your puppy sit patiently. When your puppy does that, treat them. If followed from the start, all these actions will make him a well-behaved dog when he grows up.

2. Female Shepherds Are Insecure

Most of the GSD or German shepherd dog owners have a male pet. Why? Because over the years, they have been made to believe this foolish German shepherd facts and myths.

Just like in the human world, women are no less than men. The same thing goes in the dog world. According to the German shepherder, females are easy to train when females are compared to males. Female shepherds are more protective of their owners and well behaved.

Also, you need to realize that male GSD is more muscular in nature than their female counterparts, and hence to feed a male; you would need to provide five cups of healthy dog food. On the contrary, the female would get settled or two or three cups.

Also, make sure that when you own a female GSD, they will have a highly active nature. They cannot be kept long in the house without any exercise. There is a slight chance that you can lay lazily on the bed and let the male shepherd entertain themselves, but with the female, there is so such a situation.

3.The Act Of Spaying Or Neutering Is Unforgivable

This statement is absolutely false. Thousands of puppies die every year since they don’t get proper hygiene. By neutering or spaying your dog, you are saving your dog from an unhappy life. Also, it has been proven that spaying or neutering reduces the aggression of a GSD drastically.

Imagine a situation that your dog has given birth to 7 puppies, it not possible that you would keep them, so eventually, you will let them be in an animal shelter.

If the animal shelter takes proper care of their dogs, then the puppies may survive and grow. If not, the puppies would end up dead in few years. So spaying and neutering actually help the prevention of homeless puppies that die eventually.

4.Not Good For Families And Are Antisocial

This myth makes me laugh out loud as the families who have GSD as their pet has said that they are delighted with them. This high-energy breed keeps the family active all the time, and they are super protective of their owner and their family.

They might also look tough from the outside, but they are a big fan of cuddles, kisses, and hug. Also, various research on GSD has stated that this bread is super babysitters. They are great with toddlers and kids.

5.Incoherent Breed

Can an incoherent breed be a quick learner? The answer is resounding no. GSD are super quick learners. According to the American Kennel Club, german shepherds are ranked number 3 on the smartest dog list on the planet. So when people say that GSD is incoherent with rage, please present these facts before them.
